WanTok is a cutting-edge Internet-Based Communication Platform designed to connect people from every corner of the globe. By bridging the gap between friends, family, and business partners, WanTok offers a seamless and reliable way to communicate across continents, utilizing the latest advancements in digital communication.

In this project, I employed a range of technologies to create a robust and scalable system. J2SE (Java 2 Standard Edition) provided the core framework for handling backend processes and ensuring the smooth execution of real-time communication features. The Laravel framework was used for the backend development, providing a secure, scalable, and efficient platform for managing user data, connections, and messaging services.

To enable real-time communication, XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol) was integrated, allowing for instant messaging and presence tracking. Smack API, a popular XMPP client library, was used to streamline communication between the client and server. On the mobile front, Android and iOS were leveraged to develop native mobile applications, offering users a seamless experience for messaging, voice calls, and video conferencing on their mobile devices.

For managing the communication infrastructure, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) was used to establish and manage voice and video calls, ensuring high-quality, low-latency communication. MySQL was employed as the relational database management system, ensuring reliable data storage and retrieval for user information, chat logs, and media files.

By combining these technologies, WanTok offers an innovative, global communication platform that connects people across borders, fostering relationships and collaboration in the modern digital world.
